Aqueducts in Scotland

There were no huge above-ground aqueducts in Scotland – the longest occupation during the 300 years of military action was 20 years during the Antonine Wall period. But forts had piped water supplied in underground aqueducts, known to have run for up to 7 miles. Searching Canmore, the official government records find only bits of two piped aqueducts.

It is unclear where the water is being piped from. Perhaps as far away as Carberry Hill a couple of miles south where there is spring water.
